Situated a few blocks from the Savannah River, where General Ogelthorpe landed in 1733, the city’s history begins. Savannahs world famous Pirates House is located in a historical district. It opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers, and became a meeting point for pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. Since then The Pirates house has been entertaining visitors with a bounty of delicious food, drink and rousing good time. Loeschen has drawn a Pirate guide cautiously welcoming visitors to a dance by some Pirates ghosts. It is said the House is haunted.
