Oconomowoc, Wisconsin
In April 1837, Oconomowoc was settled by Charles Sheldon, who built a cabin where LaBelle Cemetery is now located. The name Oconomowoc was derived from Coo-no-mo-wauk, the Potawatomi term for “waterfall.”
