Midland, Michigan

Midland was a fur trading post of the American Fur Company under the post at Saginaw by the late 1820s. Here agents purchased furs from Ojibwe trapers. The Campau family of Detroit also operated their own fur trading post at this location in the late 1820s.  In 2010, the city was also named #4 Best Small City to raise a family in by Forbes Magazine.
